Norwegian Butter Balls
A very old family recipe from my great grandmother Rose. These Norwegian Butter Balls are PERFECT in every sense of the word. Perfectly golden, perfectly light and perfectly buttery. Don’t even bother trying other recipes, this one is hands down the best in the west.

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F
  2. Cream together butter and powdered sugar.
  3. Add in vanilla and salt and continue to mix.
  4. Gradually pour in the flour and beat until dough comes together.
  5. Lastly, add the nuts and mix until combined.
  6. Using your hands, roll the dough into 1-inch round balls and place them on parchment lined cookie sheets.
  7. Bake 8-10 minutes, or just until they think about browning. If you leave them in the oven too long they will develop cracks.
  8. Roll cookies in additional powdered sugar while still warm, or use a sifter to sift powdered sugar on top.
